TOPICS 2010 Acceptance of School Field Trip

photoUnekura Mining engaged in treatment of discharged water from mines at Misaki-cho, Okayama Prefecture welcomes visitors to its plant.

In December 2010, 45 seventh graders from Sakuhara Junior High School visited our plant as part of its field trip. Students visited water treatment facilities and observed manufacturing process of our eco-friendly products, Kofuku bricks that are made from disposed soil. We also offered an experiment class for students to gain better understanding of importance of water. Later we received a report from students of Sakuhara Junior High School on their impressions on the visit. The report was written by hand wholeheartedly, stating that they were surprised with experiments and learned the importance of water. We will continue to promote such corporate social responsibility types of activities that are rooted in local communities.
