DOWA Eco-System

Ecosystem Recycling Higashi Nihon

We mainly collect gold, silver, platinum from the scrap created generated in the process of manufacturing electronic materials and parts. We also scrape metal plating off from appliances received from our customers, extract precious metals and wash the appliances.

Akita Zinc

Akita Zinc is the top zinc producing plant in Japan with annual production capacity of 200,000 tons. The company is the only company in Japan to use the hematite method and succeeded in high rate of collecting iron, gold, silver and rare metals while reducing loads to the environment.

Dowa Hightech

DOWA Hightech is a plant that manufactures silver powders for solar panels and plasma displays. DOWA’s silver powders are used as an electrode material for solar cells using single crystalline and polycrystalline silicon worldwide and it has the world top share of the silver powder market.

DOWA Power Device

The DOWA Power Device plant manufactures metal-ceramic substrates used as parts for power devices that convert and control high-voltage/high-current electricity. These power devices are indispensable for the effective use of electricity and they are used for a wide range of applications such as home electric appliances including air-conditioning, industrial equipment, automobiles and railways.

DOWA THERMOTECH

DOWA Thermoengineering, Handa WorksPlant

Chukyo Handa Plant is specialized in thermal treatment method called carburizing and quenching, which is mainly for automobile parts. It is the largest heat treatment plant in Chukyo area with 31 furnaces. The company uses the gas carburizing method where carbon is added to the surface of steel to strengthen metal parts for longer life cycle.
