Environmental report

We have started the environmental accounting since 2003 in order to clearly show our efforts and performance towards environmental conservation in a quantitative way. We calculated our environmental considerations, the cost of our pollution prevention measures (environmental costs) and the profits gained through sale of valuable material recovered from wastes, including raw materials obtained by waste recycling (environmental profits).

Environmental Costs

The resource-recycling costs accounted for the largest part among the costs related to environmental considerations and measures. They increased by 431 million yen compared to last year. This is due to the increase of the cost of recycling and processing in-house wastes.
