The DOWA Group participated in the United Nations Global Compact, which is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
The Global Compact is a voluntary corporate citizenship initiative proposed by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in 1999 at the World Economic Forum, and was officially established at UN in 2000. It is an approach to join in building a global framework for implementation of more sustainable development, which is considered that creative and responsible leadership of companies as a member of the society, will be led.
As a global company and a participant of the Global Compact, the DOWA Group certainly respects and implements the following 10 principles, through not only compliance but also global environmental practices such as CSR procurement and global warming measure, for sustainable development of society.
